It's Summer Vacation!

That's a picture of my friend Sara and I at my family's beach house on Lake Ontario. Sara is a first grade teacher and we are both enjoying our summer vacation!!

I know how sad you all are that school is over for the summer and your fourth grade year with Miss Jones is complete, BUT I know you will be participating in many fun activities over the next two months. Since you know I will still be in school learning, I need you to make my summer vacation exciting by telling me all about what you are doing. Don't forget: I looove details!

You are almost a fifth grader! Now, you could probably guess I was going to ask you to do this eventually... what are some things you are looking forward to in fifth grade? It is your last year at Northside School so you need to be sure you make the best of it!

Some ideas: field trips, topics in school (social studies, science, math, reading, etc.), teachers, friends, etc.

Wow! It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating Halloween, and now the school year is almost over. What is your favorite fourth grade memory? We had so many fun holiday parties, field trips, and silly days in the classroom that it seems hard to pick just one. Reflect on the year and tell me about a memory you have. Good Morning Jumping Beans!
 I had so much fun at Field Days yesterday. We were so lucky to have the perfect day of sunshine and warm weather (but not too hot!). It looks like the third grade field days may have to be rescheduled.  I really enjoyed watching you all work together all day, even if you did have some falls along the way (ex: wheelbarrow relay and tug of war).  What was your favorite part of the day?
